The Celtish

A subculture of people, generally from the United States and Canada, whose ancestry is of Scottish or Irish descent, whether real or imagined, and were raised to believe this ancestry was an important part of their culture.

It was, and is, a way to create an identity in a land where much of a person's culture has been lost.
